This is a great little collection of recipes for cabbage and slaw loving folks looking for ideas to change things up a bit! I enjoyed the 50 recipe ideas, most of which utilize cabbage, but was really intrigued by those featuring things like bok choy or pumpkin as the slaw base. I made my first batch of "Mayo-free Almond Coleslaw", and it turned out great (though I added a less sugar for personal taste.) I think people should take these recipes as guidelines, as many call for amounts of soy sauce, sugar, or mayo that cater to the sweeter-taste, but overall this book provided great ideas for variety in sweet, spicy, tangy, and standard fare type slaws. I was a little disappointed they didn't have any nutrition value information for the recipe, but I suppose you can go online and type in the ingredients you use to make nutrition facts for the recipes you'll repeat. Also, they didn't say how long to store in the fridge after making, but with tasty recipes, you shouldn't have much left over, anyway!Product details
